How to check for installed factory options?

Default How to check for installed factory options?

How do I check for factory installed options on my 86 951?

The build tag is located under the carpet in the spare tire well area. It will have all teh codes, then you just need to look them up (try google, or Peter Morgans 944 book).

Thank you. I now know that i have the following options installed.
Sunroof, leather, power locks, protective side mouldings, cruise control, Bilstein shocks, a monterey radio, and cat converters.

You can also click the "General" tab to the left of your screen and go to option decoder, it works

I notice you are in Chicago, was that your 944 at the Whole Foods in Wheaton yesterday parked by my 540?

Yeah, the option decoder under general is what made me look for my options. No, my 944 is still under construction.

If you have the owners manual that came with the car, the codes are in the front of that book as well. For a fee Porsche will also verify what the options were if they have the VIN.
