Rear main crankshaft oil seal replacement.

Rear main crankshaft oil seal replacement.
Hi all - I need to replace my rear crankshaft oil seal - leaking badly.
As this is a major dismantling job can any of you advise me of what else I could do - or consider doing while I am in there.
Is it common for the clutch to get oil on it when this seal leaks?
I have thought of a couple of obvious jobs :-
1) Clutch
2) Rear brake lines
3) Fuel lines
Is there anything else that would be much easier to do while the transmission and tourque tube are dropped ?
The car is a 1987 951 - UK car - RH drive
Is this car likley to have a one piece or two piece crossover pipe - what date did they change to a two piece crossover.
Your comments would be appreciated.

Hi Oddjob - I understood that the rear brakelines and fuel lines went up over the transmission and are a real PITA to change with the transmission in place ?
I was thinking about the hardlines not the flexible lines to the calipers.

I dont think I would change the hardlines, unless you have a stripped fitting or they are starting to rust through (which would be uncommon).
The fuel lines do not go up and over the transmission for sure. The only brake line that crosses the torque tube is for the left rear, and I cant picture exactly where it is routed. It would be a bigger help to have the rear torsion bar carrier and suspension out of the car to swap the rear brake lines, than the transmission. But again, I dont think there is much need to swap out the hard lines unless you have visible damage.
