i've finally figured out it was a bad cv.

hmm, maybe i should get an updated bov anyway.

Check the afm. The spring can weaken over time. Once this happens the dme will see higher voltage than normal and cause all kinds of craze things to happen. Put a volt meter on the dme pins (don't know witch off hand) while your driving have a friend look at it and see if it goes above 5.0 volts. If it does change it.
