Looks like they are trying to compete with Ferrari in the 4 door market.

There has been talk of this before...Porsche was ready to release a 4 door car dubbed the 989 in 1991, but sales went down and the car was never put into production

This goes back some time. I believe there was an article in a British car magazine at least two years ago about it in which it was called "the next generation 928". I actually do have a copy of the magazine somewhere (forget the name, it was given to me as a gift). I'm not sure if it's the same project or an evolution of it, but it sure looks similar.

It's mentioned in Evo Magazine this month. It's supposedly based on the Cayenne platform (I think; I was tired when I read it so could be wrong).

There's not to many of us around here. The last beer night was 3 guys. I'm looking forward to carvanning up to Limerock in Sept with the JSR PCA. But I'm up for a GTG whenever.
