What are the 2 most important add-on gauge to have: boost & oil temp?

I'm thinking of scrapping my AFR gauge since it's only accurate at idle. True?

Deitz, I am using sender 323-057. Use a 1/8x27 NPT tap, two wraps of teflon tape and be sure to check for electrical continuity between the plug and sender through the tape and of course check for leaks.

Cheers

Thanks for the info!

Are you buying them from egauge.com? If so, I guess I'll be backordered until you get yours!

On the FAQ at egauges.com, they recommend you don't use teflon tape or anything. When I finally get to that point, I'll try without and see how it goes.

Rock on!

I've ordered senders from egauges.com as well as other places. I ordered so many that they ordered them direct from VDO, so you should be fine.

As for the teflon tape, I know they say not to use it, but my experience is that it will leak if you don't, and you can also strip the delicate brass threads very easily. Using tape is fine so long as you only use a couple of wraps and check continuity to make sure the tape has broken through enough. I've made 32 of these things so far and have yet to have 1 that didn't pass the continuity test first time with teflon tape.
