Wow guys, such enthusiasm - how did we all go so long without an oil temp gauge :-) ?
Well, I have received requests for 50 of these plugs now. I'll keep the list going, but I think I'm almost in over my head. I'll try to get 10-15 out per week over the next 6 weeks and not forget anyone.

Hey guys, update... So, I have requests for 56 of the drain plugs. I have finished the first run of 10 plugs and will have the senders to put in them by Friday. I am working on these first ones slowly to document all the measurements and establish test procedures. If I'm gonna make >50 of these, I need to make it efficient :-) They will be tested for leakage (ie. no leakage) and continuity (the sender establishs its ground with the plug).
For the rest, I intend to use the egauges.com group buy discount to buy all the senders as I need almost 50 of them. TurboX and I should have that wrapped up and live in the next day or so, then I can order the senders and you guys can start ordering whatever products you want from egauges.com. We will post the details when we get them - discount, products covered by the group buy, active dates for the group buy, purchase procedures, etc.
I am also looking at the cost to me, and thus to you as I am not making any money on this, so I can establish final pricing. I think it will hold at $15 or maybe +/- $1. I have to figure in Paypal expense, tools, etc. When I'm making this many, I will go through a tap or 2 and a couple of drill bits. I think the discount on the senders should cover these expenses and keep the cost at $15. I'm not trying to change things on you guys now, just being honest that the price may change +/- 10%.
So, the proud recipients of the first lot of 10 sender plugs are:
tedwright
mwc951
TurboX
Evan70
Eric in Chicago
Gator_86_951
Mike S
macnewma
Jason Judd
Eric_k
If any of you would like to opt out, let me know asap and I can take you off the list. Pricing and payment instructions to follow in the next day or so.
Cheers !!

BTW, I found almost the exact same thing I am making at the following link:
Subaru WRX plug
The Subaru WRX has the same drain plug threads. Note that the plug on that site does not include the gauge sender for the listed price !
The plugs I am making look almost exactly the same as that one.
