Question SMALL OIL LEAK..CAN'T FIND SOURCE...

Like the title says, I have a very small leak, didn't even know until I removed the batwing for some other work.

It appears to be dripping, one drop about every 4-5 days...coming from the (if you're standing in front of the engine) left side, near the front end of the block. I have looked, seen some "old" oil around there, cleaned it off, and never see it drip or ooze, etc.

This is not really a huge problem, but a nusance...probably what caused my oil light to kick on a couple months ago, and everyone just said to check the level, and sure enough it was slighly low.

Anyone know any "common" areas where these little leaks occurr near there, and if so what to check, how to check and what to perhaps try to fix.

Thanks in advanced.

The oil cooler is in that area -- check the connections on the hoses. Clean everything up real pretty, then watch it for a day or two.

you must not check the oil level much to have the lite come on.

1 drop every 4-5 days isn't much of a leak.

i use a degreaser/water, drive and then watch it.
