Hey Daniel,

You should do a leakdown test before taking it out. If you take the time to do the leakdown test correctly, the results are very accurate. Best of luck!

Not meaning to hijack this thread, but I have a similar problem. My coolant tank overflows via the puke tube after moderately spririted driving. However, that is the only symptom I have. The cap is brand new, the coolant has been bled, and it still overflows more than it should. The car is stock apart from chips. 101K miles. Boost is 14 psi. I have virtually no white smoke (maybe a puff on startup but it looks like standard cold start smoke or water vapor), no smells, great idle, 17 mm Hg at idle, A/c is cold, paint is 8.5 out of 10. Some of this may be unrelated, but I thought I would give you the whole picture! Any help you all may have would be appreciated.

My car does this now at anything over 18 psi. I can beat it all day at 17, but if I turn up the boost, the coolant will pressurize and overflow (requiring venting again). I'm pretty sure my head is not sealing well enough to take the extra pressure.
