My cars engine bay is in a gazillion pieces and I failed to immediately mark this whenI took it
off when I removed some brackets from the fire wall and pulled the head light bar out ...
It's driving me crazy ....
It's not the headlight power wires ..and it not the O2 sensor holder ( that's white on my car )
Any guidance would be appreciated
regards
Ed

The black piece holds the headlight harness connector on the back of the headlight bucket.

The black one could be for the electric water pump connector? Just my .02.

Jim is right about this. However there are many of these around the engine bay. These harnesses are also located on the strut assembly to hold the brake lines in place. There is another one of these that mounts on the body to the right of the throttle.

As far as the two bolts and the washers, don't they attach the fuel rail to the cam/valve cover? Actually, they could also be for the dipstick. There are also two bolts and washers that go into the side of the intake manifold that hold a bracket, right next to the throttle cable.

it ends up sitting right on the left side of the brake booster heat shield (when standing at the front facing toward the rear), sitting above and behind the auxiliary water pump

There is also a diagnostic connector for the O2 sensor on the bracket that holds the reference sensors. Check that as well.
