Default Diff between K26/8 and K27

What's the difference between a K26/8 turbo (standard on Turbo S) and a K27 turbo? I think I understand that the K26/6 (std in non-S) has a smaller compressor than a K26/8, correct? So what is different about the K27? Just a larger housing? Does this mean more lag but higher top end horsepower?

Thanks,
db

Actually, the turbine is smaller. The K26 IDs the compressor while the /6 or /8 IDs the turbine.

Do a search for K27 and you'll find a ton of info with dynos and stuff.
