Has there been a 4-dr sedan that U thought can take 951's place?

My wife drives a V70 T5 (wagon, good for the dog and cargo space) with a five-cyllinder 2.3-liter engine that produces 247 hp. She even complains a little when we get loaners or rental cars that are "slow"... and she is by no means a car person.
The Volvo S60R! Great looks and man, sure is fun to tell people that it's a 300hp Volvo!

Its been a while since I posted on Rennlist. I recently added a new member to my family and while I love my Turbo S, I am re-evaluating my "automotive needs". I do have a beater sedan and an SUV so I can keep the 951. It's just that it will be several years before my son can even ride in the 951......
I am wondering if there has been any 4 door sedan WITH A TIPTRONIC TYPE AUTOMATIC TRANNY that you have driven where you thought:
"WOW, this is nice....almost nice as my 951".
New or Used OK.....Your thoughts are appreciated.

Big enough for family use and with sport it handles quite nice. Power is not quite that of my Turbo S, but I rarely used all the power from my car stock anyway. Handling wise it is really nice. Not as tossable as the 951, but very very nice for such a large car. I also race a 944 and if want to push things hard I just use my race car. On the street I have been driving my 951 much more sedatly since pushing it is will cause me to go too fast on the street.
The BMW is great for my long daily drive, family use, and has an auto which my wife likes. It is also good enough to have fun in the curves. The steptronic tranny is not as fun as a manual, but you can easily keep the the car in the desired gear for spirited driving.
That said I still won't sell my Turbo S.

Thanks for the suggestions....volvo is probably out...not necessarily b/c I dont like the cars, but for some reason, I find volvo drivers tend to drive like morons on the road...no offense to anyone...just my observation around these parts. The 5 series BMW are sweet....I will pass on the American classic...

Dodge Magnum SRT8 AWD
425 bhp 420tq
and the underpinnings are E-class Mercedes
the trans is the same AMG tuned unit used in the E55
I have had a test drive in the R/T version and it is very nice but now I am looking for a SRT8 to replace my M5
I need more space but want to still have a fun car
I should have paid more attention to the title "4 dr"
Crysler 300C SRT8
same specs as above
