Has there been a 4-dr sedan that U thought can take 951's place?

my rental car right now while the turbo is in the shop getting too much work done to it is a new Kia Rio 4-door. id suggest getting one of those.

j/k IT SUCKS. itll make getting a brand new engine and clutch back with a few new performance mods back all that much more worth it though

S4, great car, with just an x chip you are at or around 330hp, but watch out for the stock turbos

Doesn't the 928 have more room inside?

I'll vote for the Audi S4 as I have one and love it. Not as fast as the 951 but really a nice overall package especially in the winter. The new Subaru Legacy turbo is a very nice package but the Audi has a better interior but the twin turbos stock are not much if any quicker than the new Subaru.

What about the Mazda RX8, four doors good handling, and pretty quick.

The 540 series is a very nice package and the BMW M3 is also, so just jump on up to the M5.

I'd think those rear seats are the perfect size for an infant - or a midget.
I know a few girls who are quite fine back there. Its usually me who suffers

If it were me, I'd have a S4. The pre 2002 models can be picked up for 20k or less, and they are easily modded for lots more HP. Stock turbos only last 80-100k, just like the 1.8T, other than that I don't think they have any fatal flaws. Turbos going out is a good time to upgrade!

The twin turbo Audi S4 will give you that boost fix you'll be needing!! A chipped one with a tiptronic will give you about 300 HP. You might find some (unchipped) at the DC area dealers with a Tip and an Audi Assured Warranty.

Jeff... you speak hastily.

1) NoVA has now supposedly beaten Cali for THE worst traffic. Funny related story (John and 2+2, you might get a chuckle out of this): on the way to work last week I noticed a green 944 behind me in the everyday clusterf*** that is "Interstate" 66. After a few minutes of the lanes taking turns inching forward, he passes me and I see his plates. How appropriate can you get.... " 66 SUCKS"

2) The 928 is a 2-door 10-20+ year old car. No... it's a 10-20+ year old Porsche. Let's not torture the poor guy.

I'm all for the S4s and M-series BMWs. If I had the money for a fun family hauler I'd look around for a '95 540is with the M-sport package. Only 400 made it over here, but it was better than the M5 of it's day (V8, electronically controllable chassis settings, 6spd). If I couldn't find one, I'd look for an M5 of the same generation. I'm a big fan of the 5 series. In fact, I'd even consider looking for a 530is. They're all great cars in my eyes.

See you around.

I would have never dreamt that I would like this car but a Lexus IS300 would make a darned fine substitute for a 944 turbo. We have one on the lot and if I had 15K it would be in my driveway.

If you're thinking of re-sale value, the E46 M3
is the one to go for. Love the engine & SMG
trans but can't justify why it should weigh
1500 kgs for such a small car. Hmmm maybe
it's got to do with the recycle stuff that they're
using.
