Should I change my connecting rod nuts during my rebuild?
Also, paragon is out of piston rings. I am curious on where to buy them...I was told that reg 944 piston rings are not the same as 951 rings. Every other vendor I look into besides Paragon sells the 944 and 951 rings like they are the same. I am in a hurry to finish my engine, like everyone else
, and would like to know where to pick some up? Thanks

951 rings are different than 944 rings. There is some speculation as to whether 944 rings can be safely used in a 951 application. I cannot say for certain, so I searched out and found 951 rings to be safe.
I got my set from EBS, and they are the correct 951 parts.
And it is pretty common advice to use new rod nuts. I think the factory manual also recommends to do so.

Yes, change the rod nuts. They're only a few bucks and it's not worth cutting that corner as it cost tons to replace them later.
