Question Location of Expansion Valve??? And Removal?

Can someone tell me where the expansion valve is on my 87' 951? I am replacing the A/C and can't seem to figure out where the expansion valve goes and how to get to it. I looked at a few exploded views of the area but just can't pin-point it. Does anyone know how to get to it to replace it?

Under the A/C blower, under the hood in the back center of the firewall right below the base of the windshield.

Do I need to pull out the A/C blower to replace it? Thats what I thought but I wanted to make sure here first.

Sam: For the easiest way, yes you would need to remove the blower. But, mine was replaced by just removing the glove-box.

Yep, remove the blower and it 'should' be pretty easy to get to. It will most likely be under many layers of thick sticky tape. Be sure to replace this when you replace the expansion valve, believe it or not, it's important.
