I have an '86 in that I need a venturi delete kit for. I read in the archives MySwiss has them. Does he have a webpage? link? I didn't see one in my somewhat quick search.

Thanks

It's a POS plastic y pipe thingy under the intake on '86 models. Thankfully I have an '88 and never had to mess with a venturi. I did a pressure test on a customer's car and the venturi leaks...bad. The black portion of it literally falls right out.

In reading the archives I am still unsure as to what exactly it does, however Porsche didn't think it did much but leak air since it was removed for '87+

Thanks for the link.

what we removed: (venturi, cycling valve, old intake gaskets, cruise control line, etc...but you get the idea..tons of crap - tons of possible leaks!)

so does everything on the car work properly if you remove these items (namely cruise control - I saw that on your list)?

well, what I mean is that if you delete all that stuff associated with the venturi do you lose the cruise control or any other creature comforts like that?

I did a search at Euro Parts on "1986 Porsche 944 Turbo" " venturi delete" and came up with "Sorry, no parts found"
Anyone know where it is located on there web site?

The venturi bit keeps extra vacuum in the brake system while crusing, with the amount of connections, hoses and all the other things running around, it make it more prolong to leaking vacuum (or boost). Deleting it just minimizes that........
