Default TPS connector

I am having a TPS issue (stumbling at RPM specific throttle) that was not fixed by replacing with a used TPS for testing. (I like to test the unit used before i shell out for a new one) anyway, it didn't fix it. Running the car with TPS disconnected is very smooth under RPM build. I looked at the electrical connector itself, and it looks like it is missing a contact. there are 6 slots, and six contacts on the TPS. slot number 5 seems to be missing a contact all together. I'd like to confirm that there is in fact supposed to be a receptical in slot number 5 before i go messing with it. If there is, does anyone have a suggestion of fixing this that doesn't invlove soldering a different (difficult to source, and has a bunch of wires) clip on.
thanks.

Awsome, I'd really appreciate it!

A tip for those reading. I beleive that this failure is caused by removing the connector imporperly (I was lazy) Do not wiggle the connector side to side until it comes out, thats bad, use a little screw driver and do it right!

I have been playing with my tps recently. My car has been stumbling and blowing black smoke on boost since I put it back together six weeks ago. I also borrowed a tps from someone on here last week that i need to get off my but and send it back to them. I stumbled with both tps's. Here is your answer, the #5 slot is missing on my car also. My problem was broken insulation on two injector wire harness's that caused shorts between the injector wires and irregular firing of the injectors.

thanks for the info guys! Ehall, you are off the hook. I geuss my next step in this issue is to just order a new TPS and see if that takes care of it.

Why order a new one at $110 when the borrowed one didn't work? It could be something else. I could have blown $110 on one and it wouldn't have fixed it.
