That's a nice car but historic?? Most of what made it historic is gone or atleast altered. In my opinion he has a fast race car with some historic paperwork........

The trick with the hood prop and fberglass hood is to rig a slider on the strut brace wth an aluminum stick on it.
when you close the hood - slide slider to right and long stick across top of engine.
When you raise the hood, slide slider to center and prop hood under front reinforcement, so as not to crack fiber braces where the factory struts attack to under high leverage loading

 

Its a very interesting expansion tank! Anyone recognise it from a shop?

 

I am a bit surprised to see that it has power steering!?

 

It's a custom made tank. Very easy to do if you can TIG weld or know someone that does.

PCA requires an X on the back of a rookie driver for like the first X races. I am pretty sure X is like 3 or something. That way people know what your experience level is. Anybody want to verify this.

 

Look at the size of the the intake but you
would'nt want such short runners for street
use.

 

That, or these were shot at a NASA event and it's an instructor's car (NASA uses the "x" to indicate an instructor in some/all regions.)

 

Hmmm I have access to TIG. Just putting this out there... would CF work as an expansion tank material property wise?

 

Why is the alternator so high up. Could they not afford the A/C Delete bracket?
