HELP rebuilt power steering pump and have seals left over
Can anyone help.
I have a 1987 model turbo, it is right hand drive as i am in the UK.
I have bought the rebuild kit for both the power steering pump and rack off renbay.
I have redone the pump, but have some seals left over that i cant find anywhere for them to go. So is it normal to have some seals left over?
Also i do not have all the seals for my steering rack, as the right hand drive rack i have is different to left hand drive, The control tower (i think thats what its called) is much smaller, and then seals supplied for that are to large a diameter. Has any one else had this problem, and if so where did they get the correct seals from.
Ta very much to anyone who can help.

It is normal for the pump to have seals left over. The pump kit fits 3 types of ZF pumps so not all seals are used on every pump.
Be careful with those band seals. We, as of yet, have not been able to source band seals for the RHD racks. All the shaft seals should interchange and you should be able to stop all the leaks.
