Default Can I replace the venturi with any hose?

I ripped out the venturi pipes under the intake with heater hose. I was just wondering how the the original hard pipes under there had the plastic venturi in there. Do I need something like the venturi in the hose to restrict the air flow or vacum like the venturi did?

No, the venturi is a useless pile of garbage and you dont need any bits of it anymore, just a couple nice simple hoses. Do you have the word file that shows how to route everything?

Brian,

I replaced all of the hoses over the winter already. I am trying to track down why my car is running so badly. I only got it all together and started 3 weeks ago. I thought maybe this venturi piece may be part of the problem. Oh well, the search contunues.

Hmmm. One thing I can forsee is an intake manifold gasket leaking. Another is a hose that split (can happen, especially if you used 1/4" hose over a slightly larger metric fitting, a few of mine split because of that). Are all the injector connectors good? I have one that was on, but just a tad loose, so I was running on 3 cyls sorta, and I was thinking it was a leak. How about a missing throttle body adjustment screw? Again, happened to me.
