This heatshield is different from mine. Mine had only two 17mm bolts and one 8mm (the one on top rear of the starter).
Looks as if you car only has a one-piece heat shileld. Mine had to shields.

Mine looked like that. There is also one heat shield on the other side.
I could remove the starter by opening the 17 mm (M10) bolts on the flywheel housing (not the one on the torque tube) and the 8mm (M5?) nuts. Then I could pry it over the small M5 studs and then it was possible to lower the starter and slide it out.
I have removed the heat shield on another occasion and it was fairly easy with a socket wrench and a 5 inch (or so) straight extender. The hard part was getting the bolt back and engaging the threads.
