Question Electronic boost controller question

For those who have personal experience with electronic boost controllers, a question:

How much can an EBC do to reduce the effects of turbo lag?

I'm wondering how a properly installed EBC on a 951 would compare, turbo-lag wise, with, say, an S2. In other words, would a good EBC make the 951 comparably responsive, especially at lower RPM?

Granted, 951 vs. S2 is apples vs. coconuts, but please give this question your best insight.

Sorry, but an EBC isn't going to help that much. Yes, it helps it build boost quicker, but honestly I noticed a bigger difference in spoolup from removing the cat and running a testpipe. Even with an EBC, DP wastegate, testpipe and chips, my car is still a dog under 2500. When the turbo starts to spoolup though, you better hang on!

It will help, but S2s still have that extra half liter and all the instant torque that comes with bigger higher CR N/A engines.
