Default Engine Assembly Parts Prep

What is the best thing to use to clean freshly machined parts, such as the crank, block, etc. They are clean of course, but I want to make sure all the machine residue and grit is gone. WD-40?

Acetone is good, xylene is better. WD-40 will just leave more residue.

Xylene - when finished cleaning, throw the rest of the 117 octane in the tank

I would have everything internal brought to a machine shop and jet washed. Then coat w wd40 and keep in plastic bags until assembly.

What is the proper xylene/gas ratio ?
Is A/F adjustment needed running this mix?

The specific gravity is higher - so you may be richer, slightly. I have never made any afr adjustments with it up to 40%.
The energy and flame speed are very high, yet the 944 stock ignition system does not have a problem lighting it at above normal cylinder pressures...

I'm no chemist, but from what I gather, 20% mix is the most you want to use..
