Default Group Buy on the best BOV !!

Hi All
I just got off the phone with the rep at Forge Motorsport regarding a BOV group buy. Our resident HP king Special Tool,
had recommend this valve very highly. Sorry Eyal for the hijack of your earlier thread
There is only a limited quantity of these. Like 70 -80 after that no more will be produced.
There are 2 different models. One is a little more adjustable as it swivels and the other is fixed.
This group buy will be a little more involved as the vendor has asked that there be only one contact and that the money comes directly from that person.
I had explained that I was not too crazy ( pun intend ) about that and he said that we will try to work this out.
I believe the pricing is really attractive and I will post it shortly. Please let me know who is interested asap
Kindest regards
Ed

I own one and recommend them. It's a very nice rebuildable unit that is not much bigger than stock (as it fits in the same location if you shorten a couple of the hoses).

Great, my EVO DV is exactly a week old now...so far it works fine though and I don't see anything strange on my handheld vac gauge. I know that special-tool has tested the Forge diaphram version extensively but how many other people have had leakage issues with the EVO DV? Is this vac signal leakage something that happens with all 951's or mostly in really pushed boost situations?

Ed, did you get the parts I sent yet?

I think they meant the best recirculating. I have my Evo, seems to get the job done well for now since all I have is still the 26/6. If you get the pricing to rock bottom prices, I may pick one up to keep around, but I doubt it. I do, however, trust the Jim knows what hes talking about.

The HKS SSQV looks very interesting, but no kit is available for Porsche. Has anyone installed one on a 951, what hardware was needed, and did you use recirculation? (small additional part needed)

Ebay has many HKS style knock offs, which I would never trust

Hey Sam
I probably shouldn't have made that statement. Simply because I really have no
facts to even back that up. I just trust Jim's judgment ( and even Jim didn't say that ) He just said he has tried a lot and most suck ( or is that leak )
Anyway here is the email correspondence from Forge
Please do NOT call them. They asked as you can see in my email to have one point of contact.
Frankly, I am not at all thrilled about that but the pricing seems very attractive. There are quite a few details to be wked out so please bare with me.
Feel free to ask your questions and I will do my best to get them answered
Regards
Ed

Ed,

We appreciate that you have taken the time to contact us on this matter.

At this time, we do not currently allow group buys of our products, but in this instance, we may be able to make an exception due to the fact that we will be discontinuing the production and sales of the DVR and DVR-A valves in all colors and our exsisting stock is the last available stock of this item.

We would allow the group buy on these valves ONLY if the following conditions were met:

- 1 Person will be solely responsible for the logistics of the group buy.
- 1 Person will make payment to Forge and that same person will receive the total quantity of product to be distributed by them to the participants of the group buy.
- Payment must be made in full and cleared with our bank before any product can be sent to the head of the group buy.
- Payment may only be in the form of Credit Card, Cashier's Check, or Money Order
- The group buy must be presented to the participants as being for the last remaining stock of a discontinued item.

Our remaining stock of these valves is as follows:

DVR - Polished - 22
DVR - Black - 32
DVR - Red - 12

DVR-A - Polished - 0
DVR-A - Black - 12
DVR-A - Red - 4

Retail price of the valves are $150 and $160 respectively.

Pricing for the valves for the group buy would be as follows: (for either type)

0-10 - $120 per valve
11-20 - $115 per valve
21-30 - $110 per valve
31-40 - $105 per valve
41-50 - $100 per valve
51-60 - $95 per valve
61-70 - $90 per valve
71-All (82) - $85 per valve

Each valve will ship with 2 spare diaphragms, the valve spring tuning kit, and stainless steel replacement hose clamps.

Forge Motorsport will still honor any warranty claim with each valve, as long as each customer specifies that the valve was purchased through the group buy before making such a warranty claim, but the valves may not be exchange for another product.

Please let me know if you have any other questions before proceeding with this group buy.

Best Regards,

Mike Lombardi

Is this a stock replacment- or will it require custum fabrication to install? Does it work well with large turbo's? I Need a new BOV-my stock unit is leaky.

The HKS is easily set up as either BOV or recirculating valve - I run mine recirculating. You need a recirc. adaptor, and if you want to plug and play, you also need a base adaptor since its base flange is designed to go onto a welded bung. The base adaptor converts the SSQV big base into a simple clamp-on flange that you then clamp the stock hose onto.

Avoid the eBay knockoffs like the plague.

Re: the Forge, it is the same shape and attachment as stock, very easy replacement. I've got one sitting on the shelf.
