Correct me if I am wrong but the LC-1 doesn't offer all of the Data logging that the LM-1 does.

So the sensor just burnt out because it was getting power but had nothing to test? I am confused.

If the sensor isn't getting any power it's not heated. That can result in carbon building up and clogging the sensor which can result in it not working properly.

All the more reason to have it switched on/off with the ignition.

I agree 100%. I just haven't had the time to do it, but that's the way to go.

Great

That is how I will hook mine up. At the moment I don't have a laptop. I do have a old computer that I can set up in my garage. I guess I need a long seriel cable as well.

Search posts by Tony. He has an LM-1 setup in his Supermodel 928. He has posted about different sensors and placements, and how he has it wired up.

No data logging with a laptop. I have also read people that have them say that the displays are a little clunky.

LM-1 is self contained and allows for 44 minutes of logging at the push of a button anytime anywhere.

Someone correct me if I am wrong.

Hmmm, I kind of like the Zeitronix set-up.
I think the LM 1 is more suitable for tune
it & keep it. Just look at the size of the unit.

No need for a long cable; the LM1 comes with what you need. You just unplug the LM1 from all of the in-car wiring and physically carry the LM1 box in the house.

And look at the size of the 944 glove box. The added datalog ability is worth the size in my ever-so-humble opinion.

Dark,
Does'nt the Zeitronix data log too ? Yes I'm aware
that you will need a computer as well.
