Hosrom you really like those expression marks do you?

To qoute Turbonetics:

"The T3/T4 Hybrid turbochargers consist of a T3 turbine section, (Stage I, Stage II, Stage III or the Stage V Trim)"
(from http://www.turboneticsinc.com/t3-4.html)

So it's pretty obvious even the turbo makers can't make up their minds on what to call these things. But as long as some call them Stage V and some other people call them V-trim, they both "exist".

Duke, i understand that but when technically speaking, the V-trim is for the compressor side and the stages are referred to the turbin, the letter V (not the roman number) doesn't exsist (technically) you have N, O, P and Q trims (as mentioned earlier).

Again, i do see you're piont.

Hosrom, Turbine wheel is "Stage V". In the TO4B compressor family there is a "V Trim compressor wheel". Stage V or Stage 5 are different than V-Trim compressor...

As I said, V-Trim (COMPRESSOR WHEEL) and Stage V (TURBINE WHEEL) are both laggy for 951 2.5l.

BTW V-trim wheel is part #20325

Exactly where in this thread is it said (by someone else than you) that we are talking about the turbine? Since the question was about V-trim, and there is a V-trim compressor wheel but no V-trim turbine wheel, then we have to assume that it's the compressor wheel that we're talking about.

Hosrom, earlier in this thread you were correcting me by saying that "V trim is the same as Stage 5"! You changed your mind now?

Never mind, Maybe I'll just go on vacation same as Tomas and let the blind lead the blind!

I clearly posted a picture out of the turbonetics catalog on the "Stage V" and i mentioned that it is not a V-trim it is called Stage Five! you don't say Ve trim (the letter) that is the point i was trying to make. And i am basing this information from Turbonetics themselves and several turbo shops i contacted in the US for deciding on my turbocharger.

Where did i change my mind??? never mind.........this is just going to be another one of the "he said, you said" thread..........
