Thinking about changing over to a Vitesse chip set. If I do I'll have my current weltmeister chips available. I have no idea what these things are worth, what's a fair price to ask for em?

Really? That seems a bit low considering they're $500 new...

Shouldn't autos and welts be about the same?

 

Maybe Vitesse will trade them in for a few bucks?

 

The Welts are fantastic chips. Made my 951 run a lot harder doing nothing else. Just a shimmed 'gate. That's it. Quite a bit faster and snappier. Of course there's that nagging idle problem. . . But I think that's something else like a vacc. hose somewhere, not the chips. Gotta' chase that down this weekend. . .

 

I don't kown if this help. I have both welts and APE 2 chips, and I pay about $80 bucks for each.

On a side note, according to my G-TECH, the APE chips make a bit more power to the wheels.

They sell for $100 on ebay all the time, i only paid $75 for my APE stage II's from a fellow lister.

 

Not sure of this, but Dark Lightning could back me up/correct me. The Weltmeister chips require the 3bar FPR and boost should be set at 14psi.

Are you supposed to do that with APE Chips as well? I'm running 15psi and 93-94oct gas and my car still runs rich.

 

I just popped mine in with stock FPR & CV. No problems here. One of these days I'll get off my lazy *** and actually pick up an EBC to I can push those to their map limits. For now though it's plenty fast. 99.9% of what's out there still can't touch me and I mostly drive the car on the street, so I don't really care.

 

Yea Jeff thats all i did, well the APE's came with a banjo bolt set for 15psi, but thats all i did.

 

If you have no problems at 15, maybe I should just get a controller set for that - for now. I'll eventually do something big and crazy with it, but for now that'll keep me amused.

How do you control boost just with the banjo bolt? Just restrict the flow more?
