Default Battery Charger

I have one of those "charge-o-mat" cigarette lighter trickle chargers that I used on my previous newer ('02) car. Are there any issues using that on my "new" '88 944 TS? TIA.

Yeah. Most aftermarket accessory plugs f@#$ up the lighter socket.

Can't f@#$ up the socket, need it for the V1 . It's a Porsche brand charger and seems to fit alright. I was wondering more about internal electrical concerns.

Make sure it has an auto cut-off to prevent overcharging. I've seen/used trickle chargers where they keep on going, and ruin your battery, alternator, regulator etc etc. The cut off stops this.

500 mA won't hurt a thing... You should be good.
