Today we finished the oil cooler install and fluids are going in the car now. The oil cooler is a 25 row mocal. I bought a lindsey kiss cooler set up, but when we were installing it we found the stock cooler and lines to be in bad shape. It also turned out that both the stock and lindsey units would not get much air flow if any to them with my bumper set up. The lindsey cooler calls for removing the fog light which is not an option for me. We ended up eliminating the stock cooler and replacing the lindsey 13 row mocal with a 25 row one. Then we relocated the whole set up to in front of the a/c condenser. I am very happy with the set up and think it will work great. It also gets the best air flow of any thing on my car and has free space behind it.

To add more, i have seen a T4 0.58 a/r actually loose boost in the upper rpms on a 3.0L 951

Tms951: Sweet project car, very nice! So at this stage, what's your RWHP range? Good luck with it and keep us posted.

The car has not been started yet, it is getting very close and I think we will start it on monday. I will not have any dyno graphs until around mid april. Because its winter here now I don't think I will be able to drive it until spring. After the breakin is done (500 miles) I will put in the cam and lifters and get a piggy back to fine tune things. At around 3000 miles I will go to the dyno and do some high boost pulls on race gas and pump. I have a 400whp goal for high boost on pump gas, I don't feel there will be any problem with this. I would really like to break 500whp on race gas and max boost, I will be waiting for the vitesse knock gauge thing to come out for this.

Tms951: Yeah I know its winter where I am too. Not that far from you. So you have the whole winter to work on this project, so take your time and do it right. The car looks beautiful. So keep everyone posted on the progress.

My friend went to film school. In the spring he wants to do a short film of the car, it will contain track and "closed" street driving as well as info on the biuld of the car and a dyro run or two would be cool, I have only ever driver awd cars at the drag strip so unless I am a quick learner and put down some good times that will not be in the film.

It has M030 on it now and yes it is very high for some reason. I have an escort cup kit on the way from lindsey now, it will be lowered 1" in the front and 1.5-2" in the back. The kit is 500F 350r street vavled with camber plates. I think the taller profile of the rear tire lifted the rear some.

Tms951: Since it's winter here now for people like us, throw us some bones (pics) as you progess so we can at least watch you build this sweet car of yours.
