A-pillar removal
I am installing the lo-tek gauge pod. Is there 3 or 4 screws? I have removed 3, and the visor. But it is still tight at the top. And I can not find anymore screws? It almost seems like its glued. Anyone else had this problem???
Thanks.
Tyler

your gona hate this but cut around where the screw should be. I had the same problem and the screw on mine was about 1/4 inch away from the hole that it should have been in.

The top screw is not really out of place, it's just that is goes in straight up rather than perpendicular to the A-pillar as would be expected.
I had a terrible time trying to get that one back in on on my Lo-Tek pillar until I realized that I was using the old pillar's screw. The ones that come from Lo-Tek are a little longer and as soon as I tried Lo-Tek's the top screw went right in with no problem.

I haven't screwed mine down yet. It fit very tightly, and through the top gauge opening, I can see out the windshield, so I'm not yet happy with the fit, it's like it's just too wide.
My screw was moved over quite a bit, and had a new hole drilled for it. Somebody who couldn't align the thing must have installed it last.

Renn951 hit it on the head, you are not putting the screw back in correctly. My Lotek went in fine after I figured out how the damn screw was SUPPOSED to go in.

That screw is very frustrating! I was just sure that a PO had broken the head off....soooo I got out the drill!
Needless to say I still ended up having to rip that piece of trim off...and found the screw completely untouched.
O well....at least that last screw will now sit flush in the gauge pod.
