Question Blower speed with A/C

Ran A/C today for the first time this season. Came on fine, and ran cold, but whenever the engine was pulling, the blower fan slowed way down. When coasting, or idling at a light, blower ran at full speed.
Is this normal for the car, or do I have some sort of excess electrical draw problem?
Thanks for help-Scott

Sounds like an electrical problem. Does it do the same with the normal fan-only position? In other words, if you turn just the fan on with the fan switch (no a/c) does it do the same thing?

I get the same thing, i replaced the blower resistors and the problem is still there. Would like to know what else effects the blower speed.

I haven't noticed this with either of my cars, so I'd wager you have some sort of electrical issue. Try keeping an eye on the in-dash volt meter. Or, you can plug a "pig tail" into the lighter socket and then connect a Digital Volt Meter to the pigtail.

As a matter of course I would also check/clean/tighten ALL ground points, as well as the battery terminals, alternator connections and starter connections.

The issue becomes even more confused. Did some testing going home last night and found the following.
A/C on, fan full on,= no slow down under engine load
A/C on, fan full on, re-circulate on,= flow decreases under engine load.
A/C off, fan full on, re-circulate on,= flow decreases under engine load + oil Pressure gauge dips, gas gauge bounces
Should I still follow the troubleshooting list as above?
Thanks: Scott

I just got back from a short drive, and I noticed the same behavior with the fan speed. In recirc the fan would slow, but I did not notice any gage bounce. I'll do another run and let you know what I see.
