Where's the fun in model cars if you don't build/paint them yourself? I'd take the Hasegawa or Revell kit over the die cast any day of the week. If they were Tamiya or Fujimi kits I'd already have built several.

They call it an 85 model, but it has late offset wheels.
It looks like there are actually only about 11 or 12 hundred requests. I wonder how many it takes for them to make a decision to build or not.
Even thought the model is already built. We can modify it. Paint it the color you want, add a roll cage, clean up the nose, add a splitter, add the rocker trim they forgot, steal wheels/tires, side mirrors from another model, etc...

How hard is it to change the wheels? The model looks great, but I can't abide phonies! I think I've got a 1:18 996.2 Targa with 18" Carrera (MY02) wheels somewhere...

The autoart wheels are fairly easy to swap between similar cars. I've done so between the 996 cars. the problem is that you have to put the phone dials on the car you take the other wheels from. AutoArt needs to offer wheels idividually.

I think it was a Burago or Maisto, not an Autoart. Hmm, a 996.2 would look incredibly StrekStrekStrekStreked up on phone dials, but who knows? Hell, might be worth it just to sacrifice the model to get a properly sorted 951. It IS a 996, after all.
