Default non spinning turbo

Hey guys I just put on my new Lindsey super 75 turbo and started the car oil pressure went right up. I got out and looked and the compressor wheel was barley spinning any ideas. This is my first new turbo so I am not sure if this is normal or not.

Are you sure? Did you check the 6 (or was it 8?) bolts around clamps? Did you spin it out of the car (most can't resist that anyway! )

Try spinning it by hand. It IS ok if it is tough to turn, this happens to turbos if they sit a while. Did you crank up oil pressure at the turbo before starting the car? It takes a while for a turbo to get oil after a rebuild. Without oil you could do some damage, but I doubt it is your problem.

Indexing sounds likely too.

Tried to start the car again and gave a very light but quick throttle burst and the turbo started spinning the way it should. It lookes like everything is going to be ok. I do appreciate the help and very quick response. Hope to be able to help one of you at some time.

Thank you

I don't have any of the stock intake system no j boot or mass air I run a stand alone engine management. I just took the filter of to make sure it was spinning before I put on the filter.
