Default Att: Vacuum GODS want to remove this mess but keep the ISV PLEASE HELP

Guys
Can this be deleted ?
Would need to run a hose to the banjo bolt ?
I have a stage two Viteese ( MAF and SS J boot with a LR duel port WG )
and a MBC ( which I am thinking of selling to get a EBC instead... Your thoughts on this as well would be appreciated )
What lines would I have to run in place of the deletion of this ?
What sizes and all the dirty details
I know I don't need the Cycling valve since I have the duel port WG
I assume I will need to run a line for the banjo bolt on the hard pipe going to the intercooler ? and maybe one for the BOV ??

Please any advice would be really appreciated from those in the know
Thanks in advance
Regards
Ed

Do a search for "venturi delete" and thatll come up with a howto word file, and various other info.

do a search for vacum routing diagram. Yoy will find the stock one and a revised one that has the venturi valve and the cycling valve deleted.

I don't recall how exactly the MBC is "wired" up, but you can certainly dump most of it.
You'll need one line from the MAF to the oil separator, one from the banjo (going to the MBC setup which I can't recall... useful eh!?) Your stock ISV lines from manifold/ISV/IC pipe should be kept, as should the line to the brake booster.

BTW, I expect the wastegate/MBC diagram is on the LR site...... If not, Mail Dave.

I just did this yesterday. Most of that crap can be thrown away with the venturi delete kit. The one thing you have to keep is that big metal pipe that goes from the J-boot to the AOS. You can delete that too if you buy some hose to replace it with.

The MySwiss kit is supposedly very good. I wonder about deleting that stuff though - if it's not necessary why is it there?

Silly design. They changed it and got rid of it in 87.

Eddy: Doc has that set-up (?), and NZ951 also has that, basically deleting the metal pipe(s) and running hoses for the AOS (and using a cat can) and for the MBC/EBC (no cycling valve used).

Thing is, i tried to remove mine, there are a couple of allen head bolts (6mm i believe) that were stuck shut, i dind't chew the heads, but they wouldn't move at all. Even after 2 days of spraying WD-40, you may be lucky

Cos 2 of the 3 are deleted with fitting an MBC......?

I don't have any of it!. The AOS goes to a catch can, the ISV is gone, and I run an EBC. If there's less parts, there's less parts to go wrong.

Hey Guys
This is not a Ventiuri delete as I have a 88ts but I will look at those writes ups
I was hoping someone did this and knew what hoses(size etc.) I would need
I know that two of the 3 metal lines will be unused as I have a MAF etc
Mikeaagesen I just did this yesterday. Most of that crap can be thrown away with the venturi delete kit. The one thing you have to keep is that big metal pipe that goes from the J-boot to the AOS. You can delete that too if you buy some hose to replace it with.
but like Mike has just done I was looking for this kind of input .
That is what I was planning on doing is to replace the large metal pipe with a hose ... and be done with that mess .... Do I still need the banjo bolt on the hard pipe ?
Has anybody done this ??

Thanks to all
Hey Jeff
that stuff would need to stay there if I didnt have a MAF
I believe that 2 out of three lines are not needed because of that
Regards
Ed

Crazy Eddie. We offer a complete vacuum hose kit for 70$, which will update the idle stabilizer hoses, to post 1989 951 specs, and you will be able to eliminate the cycling valve and run your vacuum line to the wastegate, directly from the banjo bolt at the intercooler pipe.

You will also get 20' of the small vacuum lines to replace all of the hard plastic lines that are usualy the cause of most vacuum leaks.

We now offer these kits in blue or red, for the same price.

Oh I see its the MBC and not the MAF that allows me to delete two of the metal pipes
I think I will keep the ISV ... ???
but will I need a catch can or can I just run a hose for the last large pipe ..
Eventrually I would like to get a catch can but for now I just need to get this task finished...
regards
Ed

I'm wondering about this too, since i have an '89 without the venturi system, I really don't need to buy a venturi delete kit. But I still have that stupid metal tube that I would like to get rid of. I have looked over the vaccum writeup, but it's still unclear to me. Does anyone make a kit or have a parts list of what is needed to remove the three headed metal tubed monster?

Eddie: The MBC/EBC would just replace the cycling valve, so instead of having three vacuum hoses from the CV, you would have the MBC/EBC have one line directly to the intercooler banjo, and the wastegate (the MBC/EBC sits inbetween them). You would need to plug the vacuum port on the j-boot (one hose from the CV goes there).

As for the AOS, as i mentioned, you take a line from the AOS before it enters the metal venturi, then routed through to the catch can, then back into the j-boot.
