Default Castor blocks and eccentric nuts

Fellow rennlisters,

I have discovered a crack in the rubber bushing in one of my castor block. I am looking at the updated castor block replacement 951.341.023.01.

My question is do I also need the updated eccentric nut 951.341.431.02, from previous posts this will give more caster than the standard nut. But how much more?

Regards.

I say no, because I bought the 'updated' eccentric and found it to be identical to the one already on my S2. There is a side by side picture at:

Now it could be that a previous owner had replaced the eccentrics at some point, but I was still on the original caster blocks so I doubt that very much.

The updated eccentric bolt has a serrated contact surface to get a better "grip" onto the casterblock.

Will it give any more caster?

As far as I can remember, no difference except the serrated surface.

Thanks I shall use my original ones as the new ones are even more $$$ than the blocks.

Tommye is right (I forgot about the serrated bits), but the amount of offset on the eccentric is identical so will not give you any more caster.
