Default Windshield prices

Went back and looked at some of the old threads concerning prices for windshields. Checked on line with 89glass and was quoted $279 with their $100 web discount. Also checked with Safelite but they don't do quotes online.
Got a phone call from 89glass to verify everything and because I have an airbag dash the cost is $565 with their $100 off offer instead of the $279 quoted online. Called Safelite and they only want $479 to replace it.
Would love to know how you guys got it replaced for less than $300!

This works for me: get the dumbest place you can find to do it, then say you are dissatisfied with the fit. They will most likely give you an early windshield which are a bit shorter, and it will look bad. When you complain they will buy you a new Sekurit OEM one with antenna. So far I have gotten two of these for less than 300 each. The second time I even warned them about getting the wrong one, but they chose not to listen.

Otherwise, shop around. The prices vary by almost 600 depending on where you go.

I'm getting one tomorrow at the local glass shop for $278, no antenna. The antenna would have been about $30 more (it's a track car).

I have one from a parts car if you want it. Its in good condition and is made for airbags and the antenna. But the antenna connection was broken off where it plugs in. I'm not sure if that could be fixed.

I'm not worried about the antenna as I am going to install an aftermarket one anyone.
I would have to check and see what they would charge to install it.
Derek where are you located and how much are you looking to get for it?
