Default Koni Yellow Sport Shocks and Struts.

Does the koni yellow sport shocks and struts raise the ride height compared to stock boge shocks?

No. It depends on the springs you put over the struts. The rear Koni shocks maintain stock height. The rear is adjusted differently.

Daniel,

Thanks. I see that you are using the koni yellow sports and 220lb springs on your car. How do you like them on the street? I am considering 200lb or 220 weiltmeister springs on my car. I would perfer the H&R, but I don't think that they will work on my '87 951, I am using the old Boge housing and doing the Paragon conversion with koni sport yellows.

I have Konis on the front and the rear along with Eibach 260# springs. They are a awesome set up , Special Tool will agree with me he has been in it. 250# springs are recommended for the 944 turbo. I live in connecticut and its all back roads with bumps and ditchs and my car still rides very very nice.

Also when i put the konis in the rear, it brought my car up about 1 inch because i set them stiff. That and my old shocks were BEAT.

Both applications are low pressure gas so there shouldn't be any significant affect on ride height. The standard adjustment (rebound) won't affect it either. Generally a shock doesn't hold a car up..that's the function of the springs/torsion bars. High pressure gas shocks can add some spring rate and thereby ride height.
