Default Stupid Exhaust manifold question

In disassembling the motor on my 89 turbo to refresh and regasket, I forgot to make note of how the exhaust manifold gaskets were oriented. The new Victor Reinz gaskets have a metal side and a fiber side with a sealing ring. Do they go with the metal side towards the head or the manifold? I searched but could not find a definitive answer. Thanks

I'm taking my headers off tomorrow morning. If no one responds by then, I'll let you know how mine came out. -Mike

I have experience with this as I put them on backwards the first time, and you'll know - they blow little fibers all over the place!

The proper orientation is metal side against the cylinder head, sealing ring side against the manifold.
