Default repair advice

Hi..nasty piece of rust on the rear sill previously not repaired right...does this need a piece made and welded or is there a replacement panel?....my repair shop doesn't know if a replacement is available, they don't have a problem with fabricating one, but would rather use an original panel if available...

Lets try this again - I had the same thing on my 944. What I did was get some 16 gauge steel and cut and form two pieces 9 (Inside and out side and weld them in). I then filled the inside and underside with under body coating (3M) and the good news is that you can get to the area through the air vent in the door jam. I think by replacing the whole panel you would do more damage that is not needed. Did add some bondo to smooth things out. By answer your question, do I get a high quality picture of the girl on the bike?

I agree. Have them fab the section for you. If you want it replaced they still have to cut and weld the new fender in so I would just cut out the damaged area and repair that.
