Gonna take her down the 1/4, see what she'll run at 2680 pounds on high boost.

Daniel,
You should show up at Bandimere for the import drags. Have that civic do it too. If you can really run 12s on street tires, then you will easily qualify for the street 8 (or 16..i forget which it is). The break point was high 13s two years ago to make into into the fastest street import challenge. You two should both do well.
Of coarse, the year before when I went, there were hundreds of cars (600-700) witing to get in. Half the cars outside the gates ran 10s. I don't understand how they all gained 5 to 10 seconds on their time once they made it inside the gates.....
Basically, I give you crap, because I don't believe you are running anywhere near a 12 at high altitude. I won't believe it until I see it. How about this. If you really can run a 12.5, I will give you a 1.8 second head start from the quarter mile (they will stagger start vehicles) and I will do a roll-on launch (easy run). We'll put $100 on the run. Wanna take me up on it? Hell, I will even give you civic "buddy" the same deal.

Wes: Sounds like your buddies "*** dyno" could be off. Really no point in saying "my buddy says" or "I think it's this" because there is nothing to back it up. It's an example of "bench racing" at it's worst. I test drove an NSX and it "felt" like a dog. Chances are it's a quick car but it didn't feel like it. The reason seat of the pants is not a standardized measuring tool is that there is too much margin for error.

[QUOTE=Edman951]Cool Ted,
We used to go down to Plattsburgh about 10 years ago to go eat at Taco Bells since we don't have them in Quebec.

Fits with the dragging.
Trying something new with friends just because you feel like.
Sounds fun to me.
We didn't just go their to eat TB. We also shopped since its cheaper in the US then Canada. I considered a road trip to the US with a few friends back when i was 18 as fun.
Just like making all the drag guys at the track freak out by seing a 944T making a 12 sec pass.
All this after i hear many say 944 aren't fast cars.
I guess they will never see a 944 the same way again.

What do I think you will run at Bandiemere? With the power you are making probably low 14s. If you can really hook up, and can drive it for all its worth, maybe you will dip into the 13.8 range. Of coarse a hot day, add a few tenths. A cold day, probably won't help much. What you gain in power, you will loose on the track being slick.
Now if you get a "perfect" day. You may take a tenth or two off. That would be oe of the 90 degree days with blistering hot sun followed by a little rain (just enough to drop the air temp into the 60s). Then you will have a sticky track and cool air. Also, if the starter is feeling nice (or you are brave and will take your warning..if they let you start) running in the groove will net you a few tenths. Even on aperfect day in the groove, I wouldn't expect to see you dip below 13.5

i won't be running 16psi like it says in my signature and plus i will be tuned unlike the #'s show in my sig. i will be running 20psi tuned. Looks like i need to beat a 13.8 then
