"Sure, basically not enough air is expelled by the valve "

So running with a lower rate spring would allow more air out and combat this??

If you look at a stock bypass valve next to the evo and figure out a way to open them all the way. You would see the evo opens a lot more than stock also it is all metal so it will not wear and it runs two o-rings for sealing the piston I believe. The evo you can also swap the springs.

No mods needed to fit it and goes in the stock location. Lindsey racing also sells this valve.

Good question, I cant answer it.

Yes it does effect performance, it means the turbo is not spinning as fast as it used to when you shift because all the air flowing back through the system forces against the compressor.

Basicallt no. I tried running half a dozen washers and with no washers. With a lower spring rate the valve would leak.

You and all your technical stuff. Couldn't you have said that simpler:.

"The Lr bov is good for ****". Now I am stuck with 2, and the last one I bought last week from evil944..

Lart951,
You think that's bad, I actually bought his. Can you salvage the LR by changing the spring?

maybe I just dont move enough air but, with 300rwhp I have yet to have a problem wtih my lindsey racing evo bov. I will find out if its air in the future when I get a bigger turbo....I really dont forsee a problem at all. If there is I will post about it.

it bolted right up in stock location and hasent given me any trouble.

On a stock car, which I also tested the LR one on, it was fine in terms of compressor surge... this was with my bigger 60-1 HIFI turbo... I would not worry if its on a stock turbo.

John I think NZ is talking about lindsey's old bypass valve not the evo valve sold by lindsey. Correct me if I am wrong.

sure but, its a long long long way away..hehe.

I will be getting into touch with don about some stuff and if its even possible to have him do the work. If so I am really leaning towards vitesse chips and stage 3.

If not then its on to lindsey...they always do me right.
