cracking noise

Default cracking noise

me and a friend of mine have both started to notice a cracking noise when ever we press our bracks on our 944's anybody no what this is caused by.

That could be the pads, i get that from time to time.

Maybe your pads are worn enough so that the calipers are a bit noisy in starting to clamp...

You know, i had this similar problem on my NA. I installed brake pad shims, problem went away. Maybe i should consider some shims for the turbo as well!

Cleaning and rebuilding the calipers fixed than on mine.
