Default A little question......

Hopefully someone can answer this for me:

I have autothority maf w/ chips, and cat delete. In third through fifth gears, my boost gauge reads 15psi, which is what is should be, and it holds there strong. However, in first gear, I only spool 9-10 psi, and in second around 12. No more than that. I have strong vac, around 15-16 at idle. Is this the way it should be? Or is there some quick thing I am missing?

Sounds about right. Are you using the banjo bolt to increase boost?

Boost reading will always be lower
when the engine is lightly loaded.
Is your wastegate shimmed ?

My mechanic told me Porsche designed it that way, I am hoping that an ebc gets over that.

...he says on first post...

Like I said before, get rid of those autothority chips, get a tial, and you should be getting as much as you can out of that k26/6.

Thingo, I see that you've got an 89 so you should have the k26/8. I'm in Sydney too. Where are you?

DanR, I'm next to Kings Cross, yes it is the k26/8 , I'll be going wastegate/ebc/chip/exhaust once I have my maintenance issues sorted
