I'm pretty sure if you want to go with a 17" wheel and a 275mm width then your only option is a profile ratio of 40.

Not that I have ever seen. I also run a 275/40-17. Hey what do you all end up running up front for size wise?

Not made, there is no TPC spec for it either. IT takes a while to get approval for a new spec tire so most manufacturers are not interested. I tried to push my company into it as well but the hassle of getting the spec was not worthwhile for the volume.

Do those 275's fit without rubbing or extending/rolling the fenders? How about if they were 18's?

I dont get any rub.

Lart I got two set's. One crappy kumho 712's and one with so3's.

I think when the kumho's get down to the nub I will buy some RE750's. I think they are a good compromise in price and traction.

BTW does anyone know whats the biggest hoosier slick you can fit on a 16inch phone dial wheel(I want to buy some for the track......the stock wheels have been in storage I figure I might as well use them to take some turns in)

oh sorry front size. I was using 205 but, later went to a 225. I hear some guys running 255 up front. I dont see how they take turns. Maybe matt can shed some light on that one. On the course I need to have full turn radius....I cant worry about tire's rubbing.

I plan on going 295/18 in the future when I get my nice 18's. Ofcourse at that point I will need the rear fenders rolled.

I have 255s mounted on my front wheels and they fit fine, however, I dont have the stock struts. I have seen them mounted on a stock car before but I didnt drive it so I cannot confirm if it rubbed or not.

My wheels are from a 911 so I only run 225/40/18 up front to go with my 275/35/18 rear. Understeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeer!

john, do you know if 285's on 18's would need fenders modified? thinking about buying those 18" hollowspokes... offset on the rear 18x10's is ET40

So what the best setup for 17's 205 front and 255 rear or 225 fronts and 275 rear?

I run 275-40 (R) and 255-40 (F) on 17's with no real issues. I get a slight rub on full lock turning under hard braking and serious bumps but it seems to be on the liner and not the fender lip. I've never had rubbing on high speed sweepers; only unknown roads that catch me off guard. This is with Koni yellows. I had 215-40 (F) w/ 255-40 (R) that came on the car and hated it, especially at higher speeds. I think if you pair 225 (F) with 275 (R) the understeer will be very something serious on a stock suspension.

umm ......10inch's with a 285. I dont know man. that would be close and forsure might see some rubbing under certain conditions. I hear of some guys screwing with their setups running 285's without any rolling and they are fine. So I guess its possible just got to have the right setup.

btw the pics came out better than 100 doller bill in a strip club

I figured you like the club comment. Remember our last outting with your friend...lol. too funny.
