Default J boot directly to turbo?

I am in the process of removing my MAF. It was hacked in there and it has been concluded that it is the source of all my problems.

so, I am reinstalling the AFM and j boot but cannot figure out what I'm missing (if anything)

I have a to4e clodside w/ a 4" inlet (I think, but either way it won't fit stock) but it looks to me that the j boot was too small for the 26/6 inlet too and too short to reach it
so I'm wondering if I am just missing a piece of rubber hose inbetween the two (it's been so long I can't remember, and I have no hose that looks like it would work)

the j-pipe also has a metal pipeat the end of it, held in by one metal, is that normal? or is that custom hacking?

also is there a metal or plastic pipe (female to female connector) for the 2nd largset hole in the j-pipe (top left, a little smaller than the bov hole)?

thanks.

Not yet maybe later tonight.

Basically I'm just wondering if the j boot clamps directly to the turbo or if I am missing a hose inbetween
