I've got a manual boost controller from lindsey (the **** turney thing) and when I have it turned all the way to the left, counter clock-wise, it barely stays under 15psi (what I'm aiming for) let alone being able to hold crank it down a bit, and sometimes it goes up past 15psi.
I've been noticing a hissing sound coming from the controller, is this normal? Or is this air escaping and somehow preventing me from opening the wastegate adequately... If so, how do I fix this?
I've got loctite on the two vacuum line connectors and the two plugs on the side of the controller... could it still be leaking through there? Or is my controller somehow broken?
TIA

I had similar problem withis controller. I used to have the hissing sound everytime i hit boost and I always overboosted everytime I floor it. It didn't matter how much I turned the control all the way to the left. I finally retraced my lines and it turns out I had the vacuum line from the controller to the wastegate crossed. Double check that.

Actually, I turned it a bit to the right, and it kinda started giving me resistance, so I tentatively tried accelerating, and voila! no more hissing, it boosts to 12 or 13 psi. I now have it turned up to about 15, its okay if it goes one or two psi beyond that once in a while right? I've got vitesse chips set at fqs 1 i think.

I used the LR lines on the WG to my Nippon Denso solenoid, and well all know what happened to my lines.
I suggest you get some thicker walled lines, I got some nitrile based fabric woven ones. They are very solid. The SFR www.speedforceracing.com lines have a thicker wall. You could also look at Samco. Those are the lines I am fiting my entire car with, very high quaity but expensive as well. I think Karl has has some success with the Hose Techniques hoses as well. 4mm ID on the vacuum lines and 6mm ID on the WG and boost controller lines.
