Default Tire and rim questions

Im about to get new tires and i was wondering a few things. First id like to get bigger front rims. I have an 86 and i was wondering Can i buy a set of rear furchs from another 86 and put them on the front? I want to run 245's all around is this a good set up or no? Also if i do run 245's all around with the rear furchs up front, should the front tires still be 55's or 50's like the rears?

Go to the 924/944/951/968 and do a search for "autocross tire sizes".

Autocrossers like the 245/45/16 on 8" wheels on all four corners.

The front and rear offset for 86 are the same, so 8 inch wheels will fit all around. If you want to maintain the same rolling radius at all four corners (like stock) and assuming the same rim diameter and width, you should use the same profile tire. So 245/50 all around.
