I am thinking of tinting my windows slightly for security, reduce in car temps, and cos it looks cool. Post pics if you have done it and the % tint. Cheers!

50% tint, going for 70%, this was taken at ~1:00pm, we have very strong sunlight here





Over here, we have various "qualities" that are known by country. Example, you can get 50% German Tint, which has a green colour to it, and is equivilant to 30% American Tint (if that makes any sense to anyone).

Here are some quick shots. Please excuse the horrible black strips on the side of the car. I havent put on my new side moldings yet so it looks kind of werid. The tint is dead sexy and even during the day you cant see into the car. Which I love I can see you but, you cant see me. People end up trying to look into your car real hard at stop lights and stuff...squinting trying to see who's inside....but, alas they cant.

oh its limo baby. Nothing but, the best. Maybe 2 or 3% all the way around. I love the privacy it gives you and your passenger and I will do this on every car I own from now on. It truely is a treat.

a shop i went to wanted to charge me more because of the rear wiper, less if i removed it. did anyone have this issue? thanks.

jf951: They charged me slightly more because the edges of the rear hatch curve, for them it was more "tricky" and needed more time. It was cheap though, AED140.00 (~$38).

Sorry, I don't know the %, it was like that when I bought it. I've heard our hatch glass is one of the toughest to do well, the curves give a tint guy nightmares.

I cant believe so many have tinted windwos, I was waiting for the ricer bashing. I think I just need to go to the shop and get some options up. Is there a better material or brand to go for?
