I need some help please. I am looking at getting my k26/6 turbo rebuilt locally (that is in South Africa) I have found a company , Turbo Exchange that can do the rebuild, they are official KKK distributors for South africa.
I thought while I was going down this road I would see if they could upgrade me to a cheeter spec ie the k26 compressor housing is machined to accept a K27 wheel and the the turbine wheel is given a 10 degree clip (whatever that is).
I asked and this is the reply I got
Can anyone help, there companies like Majestic and Bramall do this same mod, does any know the exact specs ie trim or part number of the K27 compressor wheel that they use.
going home now, it's getting dark

Hi Jon,
This kind of modification is normally done by experimentation with various compressor wheels. In this case the have used a K27 - this is merely the frame size and could be one of 40 different trims. If you are able to establish the part number of the K27 wheel, we can do it!

however going to a full K27 coldside, which includes the compressor wheel and housing, is supposed to be very worthwhile. A small decrease in spoolup time for an extra 30 or so ponies.
Oh and I'm pretty sure you want the K27 7200 wheel.

Wasn't the "cheater" a K26 with a ball bearing not a k26 housing fitting with a K27 compressor?
Clipping when when they reduce the amount of material on the fans, ie making it lighter.
