Do you have the tranny cooler? If you do, and intend to keep after installing the LSD, you'll need to buy some extra parts. Like a factory LSD ring gear to drive the pump and 4 bolts to secure it. Quaife lists this info on their website
It is not a "simple" install. Precision and skill are needed to shim and set the diff up correctly.
Who is your mechanic? Have you talked with them about this?

Quaife's are torsen LSD's. ZF's are clutch type. What are your goals and uses for the car? If you intend to do AutoX, a torsen type is better. If this is for DE and racing, the ZF ones are much better since they lock under deacceleration and acceleration. This will give you much better control while trail braking.

Quaife for autox, clutch-style for track for the decel value which helps most in trail-braking. If it's casual track, the stock 40% lock is great, but if you're going dedicated track go for the 75% lock. Definitely check in with Guard. As soon as funds permit, I'm ordering a 40% setup.

Just had a LSd installed in the trany of the 87 for less then the Quaife (86) cost me before installation. It will be interesting to compare the two.
First impressions...the car has a lot more grip. Doesn't kick out on left hand turns under boost. The trany is very smooth, maybe partly due to the new CV joints.

This link has been very helpful!!!!!!!!!if you are a novice like me. I have been spoiled with a C4 on the track and I figure I am really going to be a spaz in a 951 without LSD.
