Default New product ideas... post here

I am sure we all have thoughts about new product ideas but cant get them to market for whatever reason. Just last night I thought it would be nice to:

1. have an upgrade to a very bright LED kit where the underhood bulb is. So I could actually use it at night instead of running lights from my house / garage.

Anyone else got product ideas that maybe Rennlist sponsors can look at developing?

A PVS would be nice.

Several major car companies already have it (Toyota, Honda, Ford, Mercedes, BMW, Renault, etc.).

Or does it have to be less than $10.

How about some valve stems with little Porsche crests on them?

A good aftermarket rear seat package tray. Something simple that includes hardware and forms to either carpet or upholster to match any car.

Next would be a good oil filter relocation kit not made from a bunch of different sourced parts.

Pneumatic Valve System, which allows you to open and close the valves at the most optimal moment at any rpm. No need for camshafts, valve springs, hydraulic/solid lifters. Just some additional motormanagement features, a couple of solenoids, pressurized air and a lifting/closing mechanism .

Necessary, no way, but it would be way cool to have this F1 technology in a 18 year old car .

How about that continuous auto-tensioning system we discussed the other day, similar to what the 968s have?

A good convertable conversion would be nice also, even if it meant a lot of frame strengthening.

Ok, totally off topic (again) but I have to ask is the 700 ponies thing a joke or do you actually have 700hp and if so how!?!)

I also did think of having a co2 spray nossel that cooled the intercooler when the intake temp got over a certain level. Thought it was genious for about 5mins cooling without adding anything to the combustion mixture like water injection but then I realised there were a whole range of existing products! DOH!

Hey how about a pre knock sensor rigged to a computer to control the wastgate instead of the cycling valve for the 944. I hear they use this on Saabs but it must be a good idea for track cars? You could run at optimum boost for the conditions at all times without risking detonation? Propably an expensive idea again though!

Something on a much simpler note. Who would like faster electric windows?? Me for one. How about an upgrade motor kit?

I would really like to see a cold air intake for MAF/MAP applications.
The work NZ951 has done shows it would be a worth while product.

For the knock stuff... http://www.jandssafeguard.com/

My buddy has one for his car that he will be installing along with his new Power Perfect XMS (first guy in Canada to get one, which means I get to see it too). Im going to see how it works out for him then I might order one...

Expensive is true, its about $500USD new IIRC.

I would love to see a piggy back that can self tune with a wide band sensor.

I didn't say 700 horses, I said 700 ponies . You forgot to include the pony -> horse factor.
I still have to figure out what this factor should be. It depends about what kind of HP everybody else is talking:

That's on my list of personal projects that I really hope come summer-ish I can start thinking and working on.
